OD on light flashing

I own a new AT Ertiga and it delivered yesterday. Technicians were not able to explain on what is the exact use of OD.

also if the "OD OFF" light is showing up in dashboard, does that mean OD is off or is it suggesting us to switch off OD.

Maybe the speed sensor. Mine did the same thing, but my speedometer was also bouncing all over the place as well.
