It hasn't even been a year since the Maruti Suzuki S-presso has sold over 35000 units making it the amongst the 10 most popular cars in India. Since the car has been well accepted in India the carmaker thinks that the response would be similar in other parts of the world as well. This would also help them establish themselves in more countries.
Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "S-Presso is a true symbol of Make in India. The car stands testament to our commitment to offer best in design, technology and safety to our customers both locally and globally. S-Presso is widely appreciated by customers in India and we are confident of its acceptance in international markets. With S-Presso we are looking to make in-roads in many new markets."

It is really good to see Maruti Suzuki India progressing steadily on the road of Make In India. Just last year the carmaker exported its cars to 100+ countries which include France, Italy, South, and Central America.
I remember that around this time last year, Maruti Suzuki had announced its intention to export 25 percent of its production volume.
You can have a look at it here Maruti Suzuki Aims To Export 25 Per cent Of Its Production Volume - CarandBike.
Looks like Maruti Suzuki hasn't drifted from its track amidst the slowdown in the economy and is following up on its plan.

@Abhinav_Msuzu Indeed looks like it. This is also one car manufacturer that has sold over 5 lac BS-VI cars prior to the implementation. While most other automobile companies and the country remains slightly behind the schedule in the preparation for implementation, Maruti Suzuki sure seems to have an impressive roadmap that is helping them stay on track beating their competiton.
Along with contributing to the country through Make In India, the company also has made sure to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment as can be seen in the article that follows the link.
