Maruti Suzuki Celerio Ground Clearance

If one were to take the Maruti Suzuki Celerio for a road trip along a bumpy terrain can they expect to come back with a damaged underbelly of the car? I mean, does it have good ground clearance or since it looks like a low car there are chances of damage?

Maruti Suzuki Celerio has a ground clearance of 165mm. While I have heard opinions of people stating that 165 mm is good clearance, according to me it is not. It may be good on Indian highways but definitely not on rocky roads. I think for driving in such terrain without a damaged underbelly, at least 185mm would be desirable.

Oh, then that totally changes my choice of car. I am planning a road trip along a very rocky terrain for which I will be renting a car. So, definitely I cannot get the underbelly of the rented car damaged. However, I want to go on a Maruti Suzuki car because of the performance that it gives. Would you happen to have any suggestions?

Yes, I could help you with a list of all the Maruti Suzuki cars with higher ground clearance, i.e. 180mm and above.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis - 180 mm
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga - 185 mm
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza - 198 mm
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross - 180 mm
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso - 180 mm
Maruti Suzuki XL6 - 180 mm

Once you choose from this list, you can look at the other factors like mileage, gas tank size and other essential parameters for planning a road trip.
