Recently, a friend of mine had to ship his car to another state as due to some reason he wasn't able to drive it across to the other state. However, he had to pay a lot for extra weight of the car as it was beyond the cargo movers mentioned limits. What is the car's weight?

I don't think it is an unusually heavy car. Most hatchbacks weigh within the range of 800 to 1000 kilograms and the kerb weight of MS Baleno is about 875kgs too. So, it seems like the cargo mover was at fault.

The kerb weight is the weight of the vehicle without the passengers or cargo and just includes the standard equipment along with the necessary consumables. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is of the average weight of hatchbacks of its kind.
